starting date of work permit extension processing

Hello everybody,
I wanted to ask you about starting processing the online applications for work permit extension from inside Canada.
On the webisite according to the update made on April 2, currently the applications made on January 23 are under process, and processing time is 62 days.
I am a bit confused about these calculations. From January 23 until April 2 there are 10 weeks what makes 70 days, but it is shown as 62!?
Just wander how these calculations are performed.

The processing times reflected here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/temp.asp
were determined from how long it took to process 80% of previous applications - as explained in the Help Centre link.

It does not mean literally that an application submitted/received on 23 Jan will take exactly 62 days to be processed.

The last update for this page (processing times) was on 27 Mar, which means CIC was working on applications submitted 23 Jan as of 27 Mar. And as of 27 Mar, it took CIC 74/62 days to complete processing 80% of previous WP extension applications (submitted Inside Canada).

Not specifically. Again - please refer to the 2nd link I posted: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=070&t=3

The 74/62 days shown in the processing times webpage are measurements taken from how long it took to process 80% of past/previous applications. BY the time CIC starts processing applications submitted today - 8 April - this processing time would have changed/updated.

Use the current processing times as a guide/gauge to estimate, not as a specific counter/absolute limit, to when your WP extension application is expected to be completed.

I asked several colleagues of mine, in about 3-4 weeks they were contacted via email.
I understand that the timings are very flexible.
