Starting a new work permit before previous one expires?

Hello all!

Just a quick question, my working holiday permit is set to expire on the 19th of May. I'm planning to flagpole down at point Roberts.

Am I able to do this on the weekend before even though I have a few days left on my old permit? Or do I need to wait until it's fully expired to re-enter?
