Hi all,

Currently working on a LMO exempt NAFTA closed work permit. I'm also working on a project on the side that my Canadian business partner Is going to incorporate, will this newly formed corporation (2 people) be able to sponsor me For a LMO exempt position (engineer)?

Your question implies that you are currently working illegally outside the terms of your closed work permit.

Not true, its nothing more than a hobby right now - not generating any income. At the moment I am only employed and receiving income via my primary employer as per my work permit.

The quantity of income is actually irrelevant and can be zero.

The above is correct. Whether you are being paid is immaterial. I would tread extremely carefully since you're in violation of the terms of your work permit. If discovered, you'll be looking at a six month work permit ban.
