Hi, when I'm filling the details after receiving an ITA in my profile, they ask me "Date of marriage or start of common-law relationship'' which I would understand as the date, when we became common-law with my partner.

But then when I click on the question mark, it says "If you are married, enter the date of your marriage. If you are in a common-law relationship, enter the date when you and your common-law partner began living together."

So does it mean I should say since we have been together (years ago) or just the date, when we sign all documents necessary for becoming common-law partners (in a few days).

Thank you! :'(

Hi, I am in a common law partnership (not engaged - thanks boyf).

When completing common law I will put the date he moved into my house - approx 6 months after we started dating.

We have been together for 5 years and have several rent leases and joint billing accounts to prove this.

I'm not sure if you are saying you are married or just common law. If common law then put date you started living together, if married put the date of your wedding (you'll need marriage certificate)
