Stamping TRV, passport waiting time

Hi,
I am a temporary foreign worker inside Canada. I applied online for extension of my temporary residence visa (TRV). It is approved and I sent my passport to Ottawa for stamping. Anyone knows how many days it takes them to stamp it. I am a bit nervous, because I need my passport.

Usually 2 business days.

Where it spends 80% of the time is in the mail, it can take up to a month to get to its final destination even using express post. So be patient.

I am on a work permit in canada and recently I have applied for a trv visa in Canada. But due to some unavoidable circumstances, I came to India while my application is still under processing. Right now I am in India and I got a request for my passport from CIC. What should I do now? I cant send my passport to Canada thru Courier as it is illegal. Can I get my passport stamped in any of the consulate in India itself?
