Hi I took admission for my wife under the Student Partner program and I have the offer letter. I want to apply for her visa and I also want to apply for the dependent visa. I am confused about the loan part. According to SPP, we are supposed to take a loan. :(

The SPP check list says that the student needs to take a loan of at least 80% of tuition +living + travel expenses for one academic year (normally, first year’s tuition, unless already paid, plus $8000)

I have applied for a two year program. As the check list says we have to apply for a loan for the first year.

I have few questions

1) Do we have to take a loan for second year or we have to show some liquid assets?
2) How i am supposed to show my living expenses? Will that be in liquid money or even i am supposed to take a loan.

I was unable to find this information. If someone can answer these questions, I would really appreciate it. I need urgent help. Thanks!

Hi friend...under SPP the requirements are very clear...For 1 year course ....pau either first sem tution fee or full tution free...for 2 year course...paying one full year tution will be good......then apply for GIC ...10000 CAD ....IELTs not les than 5.5 band...good SOP (very important).....but since you will also accompany het...you take GIC for 14000 CAD-15000 CAD...Dont go for agent unless required...you can search topics in this forum and get help..but I will suggest you should first apply for her visa..later her approval..you cam apply for Open spouce work permit
