SPP and spouse visa - urgent help desired

Hi,

I will apply for my visa for Jan 2013 intake tomorrow. I plan to do so under SPP. Now I want to take my wife with me as well on dependent/spouse visa. Can I still apply under SPP or do I have to apply in general category?
