Hello,

Thanks for visiting my question and hope you keeping well.

I live in United States on work permit & IT professional, my future partner is living in Canada as PR holder( she will obtain eligibility for citizenship soon) and don’t have eligibility to sponsor PR as she obtained her PR by sponsorship earlier from ex-partner.She can Sponsor me later 2020.

Interim, i would like to check to ways around getting spousal open work permit to be able to live & work in Canada until he obtain her eligibility. People may suggest to apply PR myself and it’s a time consuming, eventually. look into as well but don’t have good points for myself. Advise me on getting work permit to work in Canada

If she cannot sponsor you, she cannot give you a spousal open work permit. You can only attempt to get PR yourself, or otherwise find an employer willing to go through the LMIA process. Very few are.

When you apply through the spousal process after she is eligible, be prepared for your application to be scrutinized closely.
