Hello all,

A quick question. I have created EE profile. Since dependent's foreign work experience does not give points (No Canadian experience) I said "No" to work history. (nothing shows there)

In the post ITA (during eAPR) we will mention his 10-year work experience under Personal History (hence without proof).

Do you think this is ok? I mean you say "no" at first then mention all in the personal at the second stage. Is this misrepresentation?

Thank you.

Perfectly OK

You are declaring the last 10 yrs of activities which you and your spouse were doing. Activities for which you have supporting documents you are mentioning in the respective education and work history section rest of the stuff you are mentioning within personal activities section... so that’s not misinterpretation

What is Misrepresentation?

Misrepresentation occurs when information is provided to Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) or to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) that is inconsistent, inaccurate, or incomplete.

Examples of misrepresentations would be:

  1. Fail to declare that you have been refused a visa for another country
  2. Provide a document that is found to be non-genuine
  3. Fail to mention a family member
  4. Declare employment experience which you do not have, or
  5. Obtain permanent residence by having engaged in a non-genuine marriage
Misrepresented information can be provided (or omitted) by yourself, a family member, or your representative. In all cases, it is the principal applicant who is at fault – even if the principal applicant did not know the misrepresentation occurred.

Thank you very much. So you mean that, since you do not claim any points for the dependent's work experience, you do not mention it in the work history (of dependent) in EE profile.
Post ITA, (in eAPR) you just put his -before- unmentioned work experience as an activity such as any other activity (unemployement, work, military obligation, study etc). And this is ok for the VO.

Do I understand you right?

Yes because it will be an activity aka a milestone nothing more than that
