Hello Friends,

I have couple questions regarding applying for Visitor Visa for my wife. I have already applied for her Sponsorship application for Canada last year December 2012, and her application has already been approved and sent to New Delhi, India on December 17th, 2012. My question is while the application is in process.
I would like to apply for Visitor Visa mean while for my wife. Can someone please tell me what needs to be written on the letter which I need to submit and what else do I need to submit along with the letter.
Also, if I apply for visitor visa for my wife while her Sponsorship application is in process. My question is that it won't delay her Sponsorship application..?

If someone can please guide me ASAP. That be really great.. Thanks so much in advance!!! God Bless You All!

If she is going to apply for visitor visa with your invitation and undertaking that you will provide her accommodation and bear her living expense, her visa application may be rejected. She can apply for a tourist visa without your invitation, if she would able to prove her return to home country on expiry of allowed visiting period. Therefore she may has to submit enough proof of her strong ties with home as well as sufficient bank balance in her account. Still, the decision vests with the visa office.

Visitor visa wont delay PR process.

I disagree with wilson. I would include an invitation letter by you explaining your situation, proof of funds to cover her trip, the dates you plan on "hosting" her, and when she will leave.

She needs to show she has ties to return to home country, and that even though she has long terms plans of moving permanently to Canada, her intention for now is only to visit.

They know she will leave... how else is she going to become a PR if she doesnt go back to home country for visa stamping and then land in Canada.

Write them a good letter of what your plans are when she is visiting, Include dates and places.

The purpose of the tourist visa is kind of like you promise them you will return to your own country. therefore, as the other posted info indicates, you have to prove them that sponsored person will return. for example your airline ticked should have return flight as well and you need to do the other necessary stuff that you have to do to get tourist visa.
i am in the same situation and in process right now but also have gotten a tourist visa while my documents are in the local consulate and is in process.currently i am in canada as a tourist because i wanted to spend the valentines day with my wife and since it is such a long way i will stay like a month.
As long as you have a valid reason and you are honest about the intentions they dont object. but still everything depends on the visa officer and the person who applies.. sponsored person will need to go back for interview anyway.who wants to jeopardize their situation anyway...:) just be honest about it and everything will turn out fine
