Hello,
my Husband got his TRV for work under IMP for a TEER 1 job, valid until 06/30/2026. I want to accompany him, but as per the new rules. Should i apply for for a SOWP after his work permit is stamped on arrival or apply for a visitor visa now?

You are not eligible for SOWP because of spouse’s WP expiry so apply for TRV showing funds, ties to return and travel history. If approved, you can stay as a visitor in Canada up to 6 months and then submit application for a visitor extension.

Should i apply now or after my spouse arrives in Canada and gets his salary slips?
Him having a job is not relevant because you are not eligible for a SOWP. In fact it weakens application for TRV because it shows that you have no family ties or any ties to return. Apply for TRV now with cash in the bank, travel history and ties to return (job with approved leave, business registration, income properties with leases etc.). Depending on where you are applying from then processing can take many months.

That is a short WP for a teer 1 job. You need to consider what you will do if you are not able to joint your spouse.
