I am a canadian citizen who just married a phillipne lady on August the 4 /2010 and the paper work we needed was 1 original divorce certificate 2 my birth certificate . We applied canadian embassy for affidavit to marry in the phillipines and this took just 20 minutes from the time we applied . Marriage license took ten days from the time you applied and we had to have counselling on the marriage and copies from this before we could get our license . As we intended to have a cival wedding but outside with gusest we had to apply for a judge to marry us and this took three days to finnish . He asked for 5000 pesos . You will also have to attend a seminar in Manila to get a yellow copy for your passport before you can leave the philippines and this all seems to be new . The marriage license now has to be authenticated and this right now is two months away unless you know someone who can help you . Best to have your mediacl done befor you apply all the applications and your police clearance .
You will also need 9 passport photos and all your NSO paper work .Birth and status , married . single
We have not filed our paper work as of this time still updating and adding to our documents , photos , emails , pictures , phone bills with phone nunmbers , hotel receipts and letters from her friends and mine satating they have either met or talked with each other .Also waiting for our marriage certificate to be authenticated .
Good luck to all .
Denoose .
