Spouse Visa to Canada

Hi,
My work Permit is expiring in July last week. I am getting married in June. Can I apply for my spouse Visa in June or if my work permit is under extension?
I am planning to apply for her Visa in June. Could you please advise on how to handle this??

You should wait for your permit to be extended before you apply for your spouse. Your permit should be atleast 6 months valid if i am not mistaken to be able to sponsor your spouse.

What will happen if I apply for a visitor Visa Instead of Dependant Visa.
