Hi,

Hi All,

I would like to ask for a suggestion regrading my spouse visa. I will be married in India this February 2013. I am on a post graduate work permit valid till Feb 2015. I am working on NOC B type full time job in Toronto Canada. I would like to bring my wife to Canada along with me.

She has graduated and currently not working in India. Which would be the better option Visiting visa or open work permit.

As i am on post Graduate work permit will she be eligible to apply for Open work permit. Which would be the better option Visiting or open work permit.

Thanks in Advance...

Regards,
Dilanko

The visitor visa validity is for 6 months.

As you are the holder of a Post-Graduation Work Permit - job listed in NOC-B, she can apply for open work permit.

For that, your spouse will need to attach a copy of your work permit to her application for an open work permit.

Your spouse will also need to provide information about your employment by attaching supporting documents, including:

* A letter from your current employer confirming employment or a copy of your employment offer or contract;

* A copy of one of your pay slips.

If approved the validity of her open work permit will be same as yours.
