Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
You can apply for an open work permit as the spouse of a student but if her permit is about to expire, it may not be worth it because your permit will expire when hers does.

When she gets her work permit, if it's a post grad permit, it will be open so she is only allowed to bring a spouse if she has a skilled position. Therefore, she would first need to find a skilled job and get a letter from the employer describing the position as such. Then you could apply for an open work permit based on her work permit and skilled position. You can see some info about this here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/arriving.asp#famwork
