Hello All,
Thank you in advance for your help.

My wife from Korea and I are applying for the Spouse Visa (inside Canada) and have a question regarding the traffic history report. My wife previously had a working holiday visa in Australia for 1 year, during her time she got a ticket for "bicycle rider fail to wear helmet". At that time she did not pay for her ticket. Fast forward to now; as we are filling our spousal visa, we requested to the Australian Government for a police check and Queensland traffic history record. The letter we received shows a ticket for failing to wear a bicycle helmet. How bad will this effect our application process? Will there be any delay in the process? Is there anyway we can fix the problem? Also how do I go about paying the fine to clear up her record? I am very grateful for your help.

Thank you,
Tony

It may not affect your application, only if
1. You write a letter to explain what happened and why she didn't pay for the ticket.
2. Also include in your letter that, at the moment you are in process of paying for it.

Generally such incident wouldn't have any effect on you application, but cic. during criminal check may take some extra time to look deeper into it. So the only effect it may have on your application is time. few more months.

To pay back, i would say u go online to the police department Australia, and shoot them a email or something, cite the incident, explain why she couldn't pay , and ask for ways to pay up. U may include your contact details incase they need to contact u.

Incase she still has the ticket , u can also include the reference number.

Hope this helps
