Hello Friends,

Kindly guide me to the topic that suits and solves my concerns the best...
Or please provide an answer to the questions below...

I am already in Canada, I have my PR Card with me too...
I plan to get back to India soon, and will be getting married too...
What scares me the most is the PROCESSING TIME the Visa Offices take to process simple cases like mine...
I have figured out three possibilities... but need expert advice regarding the one that will be most correct and fulfilling...
Question 1. The new government is about to pass (they have already proposed one) a proposal according to which the SPOUSE VISA will take only two weeks for the processing.
Doubt : True ? False ? Cannot comment when it will be passed...

Question 2: If I get married, and then apply for the PR of wife (Spouse Visa), and also apply for the Visitor Visa to ensure that during the process, she can at least move to Canada with me and do not have to wait 6 - 8 - 10 - 12 months in India without me, Will she be getting her Visitor Visa soon ? (if we show my pay stubs, and her account loaded with enough balance to support herself)

Question 3: What would be the Quickest of the ways to get her here with me ?
A. Study Visa ?
B. Visitor Visa ?
C. Spouse Visa should not be confused with other Visa Application Types...?

1. Can't comment on when it will be passed. I wouldn't hold your breath.
2. A visitor visa will likely be refused. But you can certainly try. If you want to apply, apply before she is married. Higher chances of refusal after she is married to you. She will need to show strong ties to her home country to demonstrate she has no plans on remaining in Canada long term.
3. Spousal sponsorship is likely the most realistic answer. However there is some change a visitor visa might be successful. For the study permit route, you are too late for the May term (you'd have to to for September). You would also have to prove she is a genuine student and not someone who is simply using the study permit as a means of getting to Canada to live here before she has PR. You'd also have to show a bank balance of $25K+ to have any chance of being approved.

Hello Scylla...

Thanks a lot for your insight in to the matter...

I have at least for the time being, eliminated the option of a study permit...

Thanks again. 8)
