Hi
I would like to get an opinion about this situation.

My wife applied for a TRV to visit me in Manitoba and the application was denied.
I own a home in the province
I make $70+ a year
I have worked with my emplyeer for over 15 years.
A bank account with a balance over 30k in it.
I provided an invitation letter as well.

My wife is an accountant and employed in Ghana
Her vacation was approved by her employer
I want her to visit first for two months.
She will return to Ghana and I will start the outland sponsorship process.

Reasons for refusal were:
Travel History
Ties in Canada
purpose of visit
personal assets

Purpose of visit was to stated as (visiting husband) it seems to me that when you are dishonest they believe you. What other reason do they expect her to state in that section?
She owns land and addded the land title documents to her application.
Travel history i cant do anything about.
Ties in Canada will be myself and my uncle that lives here too.
I have lived in Canada for 23 years and my wife cant visit me.

Any suggestions as to why the refusal?

Your experience is typical unfortunately.

Your wife was refused because CIC does not believe she is a genuine tourist due to her very strong ties to Canada (i.e. you).

I would file the sponsorship application as soon as you can.

You can try for the visit visa again, if there is additional evidence your wife can provide to demonstrate her ties to Ghana. Unfortunately there's a pretty good chance she's going to be refused again.

Thanks Scylla

She will try again.
her parents and siblings live in Ghana

I have made an appointment to meet my MP and discuss this issue with him.
i cant understand this VO's . My neighbour can earn 30k a year and bring his whole family here 4 people and i cant have my spouse here. The immigration system is such a big hypocracy.
The government nailed me $17,000 in federal taxes last year and i cant have my spouse here.

Can't she state that she would be doing some shopping and sight-seeing (such as Niagara Falls) while in Canada?

Chubster33, did you submit the application online? And how long did it take to receive the sad decision?

O guy

The application was sent to the CHC in Ghana. She personally handed it in. She was issued a client number and asked to return 5 business days later for a decision.
She went back as requested and she was handed this BS about travel history and all.

The annoying part of this is that fact that the PNP we have in manitoba has brought a large number of people here and i met a few that cant construct a meaningful sentence. These people are skilled nominees? - give me a break.

I came to Canada with $25 and my toothbrush, i have worked my way through University (university of Alberta) and have contributed to this country a lot.

This nonsense has to stop.

I want her to visit for 2 months, she goes back, she will decide if she wants to keep her job in Ghana or not then i will start the sponsorship process. i want her to decide, no pressure on her to give up her life in Ghana. I was so upset the day she called me about the decision that i took a week off and stayed home.

Hopefully you've now calmed down a bit and are able to look at things dispassionately. Yeah, most of the things you've said are true concerning the quality of "skilled workers" that get issued PR cards daily but you should focus your energy on bringing your wife here. As someone earlier suggested, do the sponsorhip thing. Or, have her submit an application for MPNP since you live in Manitoba if you don't want to go through the centralized CIC family sponsorship route. MPNP initial review takes about 4 months and afterwards, the application is processed by CIC in about 6 months. Lots of time to wait, I know, but ...

You can also submit a visitor's visa while waiting for the outcome of the MPNP application.

Good luck!
