Guys, i have a query.
if you get married after copr but before landing, i understand that you notify cic about this. Now my question is; if you tag your spouse as non accompanying, and get just your new copr, is the process for applying for your spouse after you land different from sponsorship? If it is, how long would this take? what would be the requirement at that time? especially since they have already done the necessary checks on the spouse (more or less the secondary applicant now) before the PA landed and it would majorly be medicals and processing fee that would be left?

thanks.

No - the process is no different.

The sponsorship process will take around a year to complete if you sponsor your spouse for PR after you become a PR. Even if your spouse is tagged as non-accompanying, everything will have to be re-done (police certificates, medical, etc.).
