Hi all,
Looking for some advice.
I am a Canadian Citizen, my husband is British and we have an almost 2-year old daughter who was born in Montreal and is a dual citizen.
We've recently temporarily moved to London for work and family reasons, but we will be moving back to Canada (Montreal) in a year or two to (re)settle there permanently. My husband was on a work visa for 4 years before we left Canada (2015 - 2019). When we move back, however, we want him to apply for permanent residency and we were wondering if he could apply under the Quebec skilled worker program or if we have to go through the spousal sponsorship.
I know the spousal sponsorship route is the most obvious choice, but when we move back, I would like to sponsor my parents who are in Lebanon and bring them over to Canada seeing as the situation in Lebanon is going from bad to worse. My husband has the option of applying under the skilled worker program, or even entering Canada on a work permit, but the only option I have to bring my parents over is by sponsoring them.
Does anyone have any information or advice on what our best course of action is? Will there be issues if he applies under the skilled worker program if he's married to a Canadian citizen? Alternately, am I able to sponsor him and my parents and will that need to be all part of the same application?
Thanks for the help!
