Hi All,
First of all, thanks to this community. It's such a great help to have this information available, you all are awesome.
I have below questions on spouse sponsorship if you can help please? This is for outland applicant with spouse country being India. No child.
1. What's the average timeline from submitting the spouse sponsorship to receiving the passport request? There is an excel tracker which I found on this forum, and it says around 7-8 months, but on IRCC website it shows about 22 months. Is the timeline of 7-8 months correct for outland applicant with applicant country being India.
2. I heard the biggest hurdle in spouse sponsorship is proving the relationship. What is the status in the application which shows the immigration officer is satisfied with the information provided to prove relationship? Is receiving AOR reflects that or receiving biometrics or medical request reflects that?
3. For medical, only the applicant is required to undergo medicals? or the sponsor also required to undergo medicals?
4. To prove ability to sponsor, do we only need to provide payslip from the employer? And if the sponsor does not have job and has his/her business, what kind of proofs are required from sponsor to prove financial ability to sponsor a spouse?
5. Is there any waiting period involved to initiate spouse sponsorship application? E.g., if the sponsor lands in Canada on November 1, does he/she need to wait for 6 months to initiate the spouse sponsorship application, or can it be started immediately after landing in Canada provided there is proof for sponsor financials?
6. If spouse already has Canada visitor visa, and is visiting in Canada, can the sponsor initiate the spouse sponsorship as inland applicant? I assume the timelines for inland applicant is lower compared to outland applicant. Is it allowed to do that?
7 If the spouse sponsorship application rejected due to any reason, is it possible to reapply again in future? Or it is impossible to do that?
Thanks All.
