Hi, my husband has submitted his medical exam to Canada about 2 months ago. I was just wondering if we can go ahead and send the rest of our application and pay the fees or do we wait to hear from Immigration Canada about our next step? I am sponsoring him to Canada from Croatia.

You can submit the application now. When he did his medical he should have received a printout from the physician. He needs to include this in the application as per the document checklist. Also, the physician he used for the medical would have electronically sent the medical results to CIC. CIC uses the printout to match the medical with the applicant.

Medicals are valid for one year so he has about 10 months left. If the PR application is still ongoing by the time 10 months is up CIC may extend his medical or they will contact you and ask for a new medical to be done.
