SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP - PHILIPPINES

I just want to know if what will be the next step. I send my application last July 2015 and I received a letter from CIC confirming that I am eligible to sponsor my husband. CIC said that the Application for Permanent Residence has been forwarded to the visa office in Manila for further processing. They also require an original Upfront Medical Report form(IMM1017B).

My question is, when should I pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee? Do I have to wait first an email from visa office in Manila requiring us to pay the fee?

Thank You!

Hi cherimae. Get your medicals done if you havent. Look for a physician here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx
Get them done right away because it usually takes them 2 weeks to email results to CIC. You'll be given a form (proof of upfront medical) which you will send to VO.

And yes pay your RPRF and send receipt via email to CEM or you can print it out and send it via courier. I dearly regret not paying my RPRF when I sent my application. The process would have been more hassle-free.

**NOTE: Only choose one mode of sending the documents to avoid delays.

After this process, you'll wait for requests of other documents (if there are any) and passport.
Then a long wait for visa. :)
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. Btw, can we include in the medical results a scanned copy of the Official Receipt for the payment made for the RPRF to Manila visa office? I made a mistake of sending the original copy to CPC Mississauga. I'm just wondering if it would cause any problem with my application. Thanks
