I am a PR and got married in November 2019. I went to India in Oct to get married and then moved to Cayman Islands to live with my husband.
1. How should I inform CIC of change of marital status? I haven't done yet.
2. Is it possible for me to apply for my husband's PR, while living outside of Canada or I need to get back in Canada to apply?
I also resigned from my full time job in Canada and does this unemployment affect the spousal sponsorship?
Thanks in advance

1. No need to inform. You will have to update CRA.
2. As a PR you must remain in Canada to sponsor your spouse for PR. A short trip of 2-3 weeks seems to be overlooked. You will need to show that you can support you and your husband in Canada without government help to be approved. That can also be through savings, your husband’s savings or future job prospects when he arrives in Canada.

Thank you for your prompt reply, but how can he show his future job prospects in Canada?
Also, is it okay if I apply after 6 months or so for my spouse's PR and not immediately?

You can apply whenever you see fit....

Examples of proof depends on you applying Outland or Inland. If you're PR and you are applying you'd have to be in Canada... So sort out which way you prefer then look at the requirements based on your situation at that time.

You need to move back to Canada before applying. As a PR, you are required to live in Canada throughout the process.
