Hello Everyone,

I am an international student. I had applied for spouse sponsorship family class in June 10, 2014 within Canada. I got email from cic on dated: August 13, 2014 that my application has been received for sponsorship family class and got file number and stuff.. It's been 6 month yet my application hasn't been started for processing, whenever I go to cic website check my application status getting the same message that my application is not in process. As cic website maximum processing time is 24 month within Canada sponsorship, but I've heard most of cases they got the sponsorship within 8 month to 12 month.

Could anyone suggest me, minimum how long it will take? Yet six month have been passed still my application is not in process

Thank you

Maybe a couple years ago. These days the times are getting worse, not better.

You should expect whatever times are being posted on the CIC site, so stage 1 approval 16 months after submitting app so around Oct 2015. Then another 8 months for stage 2.

Continue to check the CIC processing time and hopefully it will start to come down eventually.

As Rob_TO explained, no one is getting through inland sponsorship in 8-12 months right now since first stage processing alone is 16 months. So right now, it's taking a minimum of 16 months. Hopefully this will speed up - but it's impossible to say.

and to put it into perspective, currently CIC is processing August 2013 applications for first stage inland approval, so you still have quite some time to wait. there are threads dedicated to inland processing, so it may be worth your time to check them out and see what others are experiencing.
