spouse sponsorship help urgent

hi everyone ..i am alveen ..right now in toronto, canada ..i have PR...my wife is in india ..i have appllied for spouse sponsprship since 28 dec 2011..my issue is i have just got one letter from cic about receving my file on 28 dec 2011...and after that nothing from cic till date..i am curious now..bz as it says 90days for step 1..my process already went above 150days..i called call center but they are like we are verifying your file...so
1. what you guys suggest me to do....
2 .if i want to call my wife from india while process is on..can i call her here..and if i can call her on what basis should i call her..
plz i need real help.

Have you checked your ecas status using your client ID number?
If you don't see any update like they are processing your application you can ask for help from your local MP. make an appointment, explain your situation. They can find out what is the reason of delay.
By this time try to call the call center agent every day, ask them why your application is taking too much time. i wish this will help you. good luck.

WOW you have waited long enough? I applied on March 21st and i am dying here waiting to be approved...Alveen did you receive a second letter asking for your wife's passport? And did you receive the first letter saying that yes you have been approved as a sponsor???

That's really odd....Do you have any kind of criminal background or do you think that your income could be an issue or even were you on EI? When did you get married? are you PR or Canadian Citizen? I would contact my own MP from toronto where ever you live?

actually i am a dentist..i have a clean record...my wife is a teacher in india...in income i have shown that i am gonna join for job from 5 jan 2012...i have send them offer letter from my employer...i havent attach pay stub...bz i was not working at that time when i applied...but was gonna join from 5 jan so i have attached offfer letter of my job..i have PR

Ya really if I would be you I will really contact my local MP and discuss....as it is ridiculously long wait!!! I do know someone from my extended family who had to wait longer as the sponsor didn't have the job??

Wish you good luck....Keep us posted about what you local MP has to say???

I will also call CIC to find out what's the delay or progress??? It is possible that you have moved or changed your address and they might have send your letter to your old address????

dont worry about job so much, coz i know a friend who is still going to college, not working at all, and got approved as a sponsor... so i would recommend that you as per most are saying, speak to your local MP asap...

haan yaar, after soo much of begging and whining did the family okayed the thought of marriage, then sooo much finding and then of begging and whining and crying to give their daughter's hand for me, they okayed, and now stuck waiting for eternity for wife to land here... now friends only say lo ji ho gai shaadi... hunh araam ae?... lolz

just kidding, don't lose hope bro, keep on top of things and dont allow these (although imp) petty issues take a toll on the relationship... stay focused, inshallah all will go well for you... just keep bugging the call center and your MP, things will start rolling bro...

Either call first thing in the morning (8am EST) or at the very end of the day (4pm est) you'll get someone faster.
