i just got married november first week 2010. i am a canadian citizen 52 years old. my wife is 39 years old. we both from srilanka. i already got married and divorced from my previous wife 7 years ago. i have a two children from that marriage 20 yrs and 17 yrs old son and daughter. how long will it take to sponsor my wife from srilanka and if anybody call and tell my srilankan visa office or here regarding about my marrige. i mean if anybody disturb to my sponsor thing telling donot let her to come(ont give visa for her) it gonna affect to previous marriage children like that or i want to take her here and divorce her like that. will this things gonna affect for my sponsoring visa and will they reject to issue visa for my spouse. if everything ok how long will it take to process her visa.

If everything is OK - then the processing will take approximately 1 month (processing at the Mississauga office) plus 17 months (processing at the Colombo office). So approximately 18 months in total.

if anyone disturb to my spousal visa will it gonna affect to my wife's visa things.i'm scared because i heard some people can do the things like that.

Are you asking about someone calling the visa office to tell them your new marriage is not genuine? Why and who would do that?

i really got married her .only did registration not the wedding.she is my wife now.i want to bring her here.i'm not sure my previous wife or children. thats why i'm scared.

why it takes 18 months. i heard normally spousal visa is processing within 6to 8 months. am i right or wrong.will it take long time because of my 2nd marriage.

If you go to the website and check out the timeline for the visa office responsible for Sri Lanka it will give you their wait times. It is updated every 3 months so you always know where things stand. There is no "normal spousal visa"... it depends on the visa office you apply through and even then on your particular circumstances. Some people might take 3 months while others can take two years. It depends on the amount of evidence you submit, the quality of the evidence, the applicant's background, etc, etc. No one can tell you how long it will take.

As for your ex-wife or children interferring with your application, there is not very much you can do to stop them but I don't see why they need to have anything to do with it. You don't really even need to tell them about your process as they are not involved. Your application will be decided based on the evidence you provide. If anyone contacts immigration with accusations of fraud, I imagine they may look at your application more carefully but they cannot really reject you without a reason (and you always have the option to appeal).
