I recently got my PR (CoPR) which is valid till Aug end 2018. I am planning to get married in Feb 2018.My queries are:

1. Is it advisable to get married first and then land in Canada & then sponsor my wife?
2. To sponsor my wife, is it necessary that i have to be reside in Canada only ?
3. Is it necessary that i have to show that i am working & having some income in Canada & then only i can sponsor her or is it enough that i show sufficient funds in my account ?
4. Instead of the above steps, Is it advisable to surrender my CoPR and submit my wife details also so that together we both get the CoPR ?- Will my PR get rejected here for any reason ?

1. You can. But if you do that, you'll need to return your COPR to the visa office, submit all of the paperwork to add your new spouse to your application and wait for a new COPR to be issued. This process typically takes several months.
2. Yes - if you land first and then sponsor your spouse for PR, you must be residing in Canada while you sponsor. Note that sponsorship can take over a year to complete. Also note that it's quite likely your spouse will not be approved for a TRV and you will need to live separately during this period.
3. You just need to be living in Canada and you cannot be on welfare / social assistance.
4. It's really your choice. The only reason why your PR might be rejected is if your spouse has some sort of issue that makes them inadmissible (e.g. serious medical condition, criminal issues).

Thanks for responding, but i am still unclear in below points:

1. If i get married first and then land in Canada then why do i have to return COPR to my visa office? I have to submit COPR at the port of entry right ?
2. During the sponsorship period, can i travel outside Canada few times to visit my spouse? Is there any cap on number of visits ?
3. In spouse sponsorship application, if my registered marriage date is shown as before my landing date (landing as a single status because can't get wife with me), will it cause any refusal of application ?

1. If you get married first, you COPR which stated that you are single is NO LONGER valid. Physically with your wife OR NOT, your new status is MARRIED. That's why you have to return the unused COPR to your visa office and apply/update with your wife's information (medical check, background check...etc) and wait for the new COPR that includes you and your wife as married couple.
2. I don't think there is a cap for number of visits but the duration of your trips should be reasonable. (2 -3 weeks instead of for months)
3. If you landed as single while you are actually married. That's misrepresentation. And you risk your own PR and you can NEVER sponsor your undeclared wife.

Thanks. Can you pls guide me if you have answers to below questions also:
1. How to notify the VO ?
2. Is it through email id ? then which email id ? If not is it through MyCIC account ? How to do in this case?
3. I have to inform VO from how many days after my marriage? Is it on the same day or i have to inform only after i get my marriage certificate ?
4. What all documents i need to submit ? Will i have sufficient time in hand to collect all these documents ? I have to these documents by uploading in MyCIC account?
5. Since i am the Principal applicant, do i need to have to show Proof of Funds for my spouse also(12300+12300) ?

You should move over to the Express Entry section of the forum. This topic is extensively discussed there.
