I am sponsoring my soon to be spouse for Canada PR.

In the Spouse questionnaire (which I am filling up for her), in question 24, 'Has your sponsor visited you', I am answering that I did visit my spouse for the actual marriage ceremony.

Then we move to question 27, where they ask 'Have you and your sponsor lived together?', what do we put here. I do plan to live with my spouse after marriage in my parent's house for 2 weeks and then I plan to return back to Canada. Should I put 'yes, sponsor lived with me' or since I just was with my spouse for 2 weeks only, should I put 'no, sponsor did live with me'?
Pls advise

2 weeks would be considered just a visit, not as living together.

Hi,

I married my husband last year of December 2012 and we did live together for 2wks because I have no one to stay with there, my whole family is here in Canada. 2 wks is just a visit so you may put NO. If you answer yes, I guess you guys would fall under conjugal partner class, not spouse.

Good luck :)

I would say that no, you did not live together. You visited, but did not live.

Also, the previous poster mentioned that you would be conjugal if you answered yes, and that is incorrect. You are still married, therefore under the spousal category. You can only apply in the conjugal class if you cannot get married or be common-law, due to a legal or immigration barrier. You will be married, so that does not apply to you.

Hi All

I have one more question then:

After marriage, my wife will stay with me for 2 weeks. Then I will return to Canada and at that point, my wife will go back to live with her parents. So for question 29, are you living with someone other than your sponsor, if i put that my spouse is living with her parents, will that raise doubts in the VO's mind? The reason i want my wife to go back and live with her parents is this will be her last chance to spend as much time with her parents as possible as once she comes to Canada, the opportunities to visit her parents will be less.

Pls advise.

No, that's fine.

You could always include an explanation, like the one you wrote here.
