Spouse PR Sponsorship

Hi Friends,

I moved to Canada in March 2018 after getting my PR. In Oct, I got married in India and my husband came with me on Visitor Visa. Currently we both are in Canada, living together. I want to sponsor his PR with Open Work Permit. I have a couple of questions in order to do so:
1) Do I need to call CIC and update my marital status before sponsoring him or filing his application will do that.
2) Since I moved in March this year only, I do not have Notice of Assessment or Proof of Income Statement. Is it ok if I just submit the Employment Letter? If not from where can I get NOA?

2. Submit the letter, your recent payslips and a letter of explanation in place of the NOA.
