Spouse permanent residency visa/sponsorship ABU DAHBI

Hi group...

I am a Canadian born citizen living in Canada...


I've just received confirmation that i've been approved to sponsor my wife who is a Jordanian citizen currently living in Saudi Arabia. Therefore the visa application will be forwarded to the Abu Dahbi office.

I have read on the expected wait times on the CIC website that for this particular visa office it is a 24 month wait time.

Can anyone please comment who is currently in the process through this or who has been through it. I really don't want to wait two years for my wife and daughter to get here

According to the open data project information, Abu Dhabi processing times for the 12 months ending March 31, 2012 were:

20% of applications completed in 7 months
30% of applications completed in 8 months
50% of applications completed in 12 months
70% of applications completed in 20 months
80% of applications completed in 26 months

(Spouses, Partners & Children)

So half the applications are completed in a year. Hopefully you will be in that category.
