Hello,

I have applied for spouse Permanent residence outside Canada

Applied for PR on April 11, 2019
Received Biometrics Instruction letter on May 03, 2019
Received medical request on May 08 ,2019
Medical passed updated in mid may 2019
Received Pre- arrival services document on may 31, 2019

Can some know you have dealt with above steps can you let me know the next steps It would be very helpful

Pre arrival only means that you have passed your eligibility. You need to wait until you clear your background check for them to make a decision and send you a passport request letter. That’s what’s next.

How many days it generally takes to get the passport request , and if the background check is completed will they update in the CIC online account .

Depends on when your background check gets completed. Could be days or months. Also depends on the VO you are being processed at and when they dispatch PPR. For example Mississauga VO dispatches PPR sooner (once BGC is complete) than say New Delhi VO (example). And no they do not update it on the MyCIC account once its complete. It only changes right at the end when your passport gets stamped with visa and you get Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) letter back to you. (Only COPR if you are from a visa exempt country). No changes until then.
