Spouse Passport Expiry Data

Hi,

I got ITA on December 4 and I am currently working on my documents. My spouse's passport is set to expire on May 31st. Will that affect my application or is it only required after getting PR? Note: renewing the passport at the time being will not be so easy as I live outside my home country.

You will need valid passport during ppr. So go ahead and apply and subsquently apply for new PP and update it via a CSE.

It won't effect your Application at all, when you submitting PR application, just write letter of explanation and in the meantime you should renew passport asap.

You still have 45 days to submit your application so to be on safer side, I recommend to go for renewal of passport on urgent basis.
