Spouse open work permit

hi, I am living in canada for study since 2017. I had married in 18 January 2019. My wife applied for spouse open work permit in 18 april 2019 and she is living in india. Firstly we struggled to link paper application into online. After 2 months, at 13 june 2019 ,, canada visa office sent a mail regarding medical exam even she already provide medical report in application package. Then after we sent them mail for her medical report. After 2 days, they sent mail for biometric validity letter. After 1 day we can link paper application into online account and we could see that her medical exam is passed and biometric validity. Since that day, we are still waiting for results. Can someone say what they are doing her file ? How long it take now for approval? and why they take long time for her application and others got very early?

File is processing in new Delhi visa office

Just warning you that spouses of international students aren’t guaranteed as SOWP. Approval process usually takes many months.

Hi all!
I am a Canadian PR moving to Canada next month and my husband is coming with me. We are planning to apply for Inland sponsorship with an application for OWP. Do we need to provide a proof of funds for the OWP application? How long does it usually take for it to be approved?
