I am a Software Engineer working in Victoria,British Columbia for the past 11 months. I have a closed work permit and a TR Visa valid till March 2016. I got married in August 2014 and subsequently my wife applied (in paper at VFS New Delhi) for an Open Work Permit and TR Visa on 10th September 2014. We haven't heard anything from either the High Commission or VFS since then. We called the VFS helpline yesterday and realized that our email address registered with VFS is incorrect. We have already sent an update request to VFS and have made sure that the forms that we submitted did have the correct email address. My concern is -
1. Can the email address goof up cause us any problems ?
2. The processing time for all Work permit applications in New Delhi is about 4 months but the info was last updated back in July 2014. Has anyone applied in September and heard back from Canada immigration ?
