Spouse Open Work permit

Hi All,

Finally some communication on my application. Application Date: 15th May.

I have got a PDF document today morning in which it is mentioned, "A separate e-mail requesting you to complete medical examination has been sent to you." However, there is no separate email yet. Can some one please tell me if I will receive it in some time or shall I reply to immigration department with this concern immediately? I have got the document 2 hours back and no medical request email yet.

Yes, It is paper application. But I have linked online so I am getting all application related messages in my account. They have sent an Email with attachment which says , they need wedding photos and Medical. For medical it says you will get separate email, but no email yet so I am concerned. Even in online account same PDF doc is attached.

Wait for a day to receive mail.
Attach marriage pics in diff places as well as group pics ,that had taken in marriage.
If they doubt in relationship,it's tough to satisfy them

I want to go live with my husband, what type of visa is suitable for me Visitor visa or open work permit,

I have job, and my own business, property here in Sri Lanka with LKR 1.5 million bank balance,

Also, my husband has a permanent job offer, so will he able to have a vacation during his work permit, duration of his WP is 2 years.

If u are planning to live in Canada,u can go for SOWP else visitor visa.
Yes he can travel when he is in WP.

It sounds very positive!

I have a quick question for you: how long did it take before you were able to link your application online? Did you receive any email from CIC before you linked your application? My wife applied on June 20th via VFS, we have not received any updates from CIC nor are we able to link the application online.

I have applied on 12 April , they requested photos and marriage certificate on 19 june. I have attached it on 6 july , after that no response. Anyone know how long does it take, its been 15 weeks now.
