Spouse Open Work Permit renewal pending (within Canada)

Hi,

I and my spouse came to Canada 2 years ago with my student permit, and Open Work Permit for my spouse. While I have received a 3 Year Post Graduate Work Permit after my degree, my spouse's open work permit is pending for renewal. The document that has been asked by CIC is my employment letter.

I do not have an employment letter now, though I have multiple interviews lined up. I understand that CIC expects the primary applicant to get a job, however wanted to know if something like interview emails could suffice?

Please note that my spouse is working with the same employer from last 2 years, and her employer would be willing to write a letter that she will remain in employment for the next year or so. Would that help?

As a spouse of full time student you wife is eligible for open work permit...now that you have finished your studies and under pg work permit again same thing applies...she will be issued an open work permit according to your status...As my understanding your job will have to be in skill level O,A,B for her to be eligible for spouse open work permit.i don't think CIC will accept any interview emails.

1. Not quite. The OP has not obtained a job as yet under the PGWP, so his spouse is not eligible for a SOWP until s/he gets a job in NOC A, B, or O.
