Myself and my wife are both Irish. I am working in Canada for the past year on a temp work permit with a university, my work permit (note not study permit) has been extended for another year. I recently got married and my wife will be joining me in canada for several months, she is taking a career break and we are going to do some traveling. She will be coming out here as a visitor but i want to find out if we can apply for an open work permit for her after she gets here?
Can we apply after she is already in canada, if so what forms (new application or change status or online)?
Can she leave the country while her application is being processed?
