Hello guys,

I have a question if you could please help me out.
I have 5 months left on my study permit and i’m studying full time i got married recently can i bring my wife with me?
I might renew my permit but as of now i have 5 months left can i still apply for an open work permit for her?

You can apply for an open work permit but given you only have 5 months left and processing can take more than that you may want to wait until you get your PGWP.

To be on safer side, you need to have minimum 1year of study left to apply for Spouse OWP. Given the delay the application processing time and your 5months of study left better apply for visitor visa for spouse and not OWP. Once you graduate you can apply for PGWP and spouse can apply for OWP.
