Spouse name different in kids passort

Hello experts!
Someone please help me with this

In my spouse passport she has the name before her marriage and in my sons passport and birth certificate , mothers name is shown as my wife's name after marriage
So my confusion now is while filling up the spouse details in the PR form what name should i give.
As per the instructions in the PR form i should give the name exactly as in the passport.. so will this be a problem as in my kids passport her name is different.
I already got the ITA and am in the process of filling it.

Someone please guide me. Thanks in advance!

The spouse's name should be as per her passport.

There's a question asking 'Did the applicant use any other name in the past?'.
I think if you mention the old name there and the name after marriage in the application, it should not be a problem.
Although, please wait for more responses on this as admittedly, the EE questionnaire leaves too many open questions.

It's not a problem if your spouse has a different name to you or your children, as mentioned above.

Fill in the forms according to the exact instructions given.

Any difference between married name & maiden name will be easily resolved by CIC when they look at marriage/birth etc certificates of family members.

So will this not be an issue? I mean different names for my spouse in 2 documents. Should i upload an explanation letter along with the other documents?

It's not an issue. I attached an LOE with my birth and marriage certificates. I didn't need to do it but same as what you're feeling now, I uploaded the said docs (with LOE) under one file too

Wont CIC question why my wife's name was not changed in her passport. I am really worried whether this will become a reason for rejection

No it wont be a problem. No worries.

But i'm just guessing on this part: spouse's visa may be under her name before marriage?

Yes my wife and kid is here on a open work permit currently and the name is her original name(before marriage)

only in my son's birth certificate and passport for mother's name.. it has got my wife's name changed (after marriage)

Won't be a problem. Make sure to give your wife's name as it is in her passport.
