Hi,

My PR Application is in process with New Delhi Office. I have one question.

My Spouse (wife) has recently moved to US for research for one year. She is not incuded in my PR Application. Do i need to inform CIC about this (through Case Specific Enquiry)? Anything else I need to care of with respect to my application?

Responses would be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

When you say that your spouse is not included in your PR application, I'm presuming that they aren't accompanying you right away as you are surely aware that you cannot claim to be Single on your PR application while being married.

In any case, this wouldn't need to be reported to CIC as their travels AFTER application submission will have no relevance to this application.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the reply. Yes, in my application I have mentioned that I am married and my spouse would not accompany me right now.
Even if the travel of the spouse is for work purpose, we don't need to inform about it?

Thanks in advance.

If the trip is just a short business trip, not an issue. But you said she will live in the USA for a year. I actually think you will be better off to provide her new address to CIC.

This is because even non-accompanying spouses need to provide police clearances and medicals. And even if she hasn't been in the USA for 6 months yet, she likely will before your application is finalized, and CIC will want to know where the FBI clearance is...

I honestly think you would be much better off just giving this information up-front, and recognizing that you will have to get the FBI cert for her.

Their application is already in process. CIC cannot (and doesn't) ask for post facto PCC(s) for travels made AFTER application submission.

Yes, you don't need to submit her US trip as she is not coming with you and more over your app is In process.

They have every right to ask for an update, they can and they do. Esp. if it is the USA. Besides, this isn't travel - this is a change of residence.

Mind you, I'm not saying that 100% it will happen. But you would rather be prepared for it and pre-empt it, than be surprised by it.

Thanks everyone for your helping comments.

In the Case Specific Enquiry, Should I ask them if need to provide the information(her address and all) or just provide them with the details?

Thanks.
