Hi Friends,

I am happy that my wife got pregnant, though I am in a confused state right now with path ahead. I have created my profile under CEC (working in Canada for last 1 year) for Express Entry and couple of days back we came to know that we are fortunate to have a baby in next 9 months. Now, we need to do medical examination for our family but I dont think my wife can do XRAY while she is preganant. Is it OK for us to do have medicals( CIC states we can submit medical with XRAY after delivery for pregnant applicants) and submit all documents , proceed with PR process? Kindly share your ideas.

Your wife can complete the entire medical now - except the xray. You should notify CIC that your wife is pregnant and unable to complete the xray.

Your file cannot be finalized until your wife has completed the full medical. Once she gives birth, she will need to complete the xray and you'll also need to add your new baby to the application. CIC will then finish the processing of your application and issue the PR visas for yourself and your family.

hmmmm, why newborn should be added to the application if will be delivered in CA?

Thanks for reply. Do I need to add new born to the application? Because When my spouse have it here in Canada, the baby will be Canadian Citizen by default? Please revert.

That's the point why add Canadian newborn to PR application....

You should inform CIC about your son as soon you can get a birth certificate, just to let them know.
(Any familiar change should be notified)

Your son/daughter will be Canadian born, so no problems

I added my son probably mistakenly, getting fees refund.

If your son is birth before apply, I guess you should add him a family member non-accompanying and explain he's Canadian born, so no PR application

Thanking everyone for their suggestions and feedback.

As a physicist, I can suggest that Xray from chest is considered to be safe for the baby specially in the second and 3rd trimester.
I would do the test.

Yeah, I heard so but, In my case, we waited until childbirth just in case, if it's a minor risk it's a risk we can avoid.

In fact I only create my profile after childbirth but I should do it before and complete X-ray after.

Just my opinion, I know people did the X-ray when pregnant getting PR before us.

@CECPR_2016, Congratulations...
We are also exactly in the same situation....
Can you please share how did you proceed with medicals....
