Spouse In Canada Family-class sponsorship, how long between submission and AOR?

Me and my wife just submitted our sponsorship application on January 20. Now we need to wait until Acknowledgement Of Receiving to apply for Work Permit. Every other visa I applied AOR came fast. How long should it take until we get AOR so she can apply for WP?

What? So the 30 to 90 days waiting is not enough to be able to apply for work permit? So there is still more waiting? So, if I understand right:
- 30 to 90 days for AOR
- X days for approval in principal
- WP application time itself

So after submitting the sponsorship application it still takes quite a while so that my wife can work right...

I was referring to getting the wp, not when you apply for it (you didn't mention that you applied online).

I understand you do apply for the work permit after aor for online apps.

But yes - expect significant delay before getting work permit.
