Spouse Immigration query

Hello Everybody, this is Zuhaib here. I have a question regarding to the spouse immigration for Canada. I live in Pakistan and my wife is a canadian. we are looking for spouse immigration, but here processing time is too long which is 33 months. Thats why we are looking to get this case being processed from a different country where the processing time is lesser. Like China or Poland where processing time is 7 months.

My questions are as under.
Can i apply from a country other than country of origin. Is it possible ?
If possible, what are the requirments to apply from a different country ?
What kind of status canandian embassy will need me to have there ?

I hope, you guys can share you experience in this regard.

Yes, you can apply from a country other than your country of origin.

The requirement is that before you apply for PR, you must have legally lived in that country (such as China or Poland) and must be able to show proof, such as a work permit, student visa, etc.

So theoretically, you could now research a way to get a work permit for China or Poland, go live there, and apply for Canadian PR after one year of living in China or Poland.

In practical terms, that would probably not be easy.

You can apply but you need to be the legal resident of that country like having a work visa, business visa and submit proof of being there, also you need to get the police/background checks from that country which will be submitted when you will be filing your case. I suggest you for new applicants timeline is different as your case will be processed in London therefore apply from where are you residing now. Good luck with your application!!

Pakistani spousal cases are currently being processed in London, UK with a timeline of 11 months. It might take slightly longer than that, but I wouldn't suggest going the China/Poland way...it will probably take you even longer to do it that way.
