Yes, Of course. I order to qualify for the Permanent residency visa, each applicant should meet the respective requirements as specified by CIC.melvin007 said:Does spouse require IELTS for express entry
Can you give reference to this please?wilson said:Yes, Of course. I order to qualify for the Permanent residency visa, each applicant should meet the respective requirements as specified by CIC.
I disagree - I have just finished reading the whole new Ministerial Instructions for EE - its not mandatory! Best case it gives extra 20 points out of 40 a spouse can contribute to the application (out of the 500 total).imtiaz.B said:Yes, spouse should get a score of 4.5 or 5 to qualify.
Pl note that spouse IELTS is not mandatory.imtiaz.B said:Yes, spouse should get a score of 4.5 or 5 to qualify.
The word "accompanying" does not even show up in the document (which is http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp).Ekniranjan2 said:As per this link(wwwDOTcicDOTgcDOTca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp), Education credential Assessment(ECA) and Language test results(IELTS or CELPIP) seems to be be mandatory for the "accompanying SPOUSE or common law partner" of a principal applicant who are going to apply under Express entry for federal economic immigration programs like FSWP(Federal Skilled Worker Program) or Canadian Experience Class(CEC)
It seems to me that it is not a question of just getting additional points for "Spouse factors", principal applicants may also need to provide ECA and Language test results for the spouse in case if they are going to include the spouse in the PR application under express entry.
For example, if one's spouse has masters degree then they can't just say "UNEDUCATED" in their application.
but the moment when you say that "my spouse has masters degree" then the online system may ask to submit the proof for it(ECA). Similarly for Language test proofs also(IELTS or CELPIP)
Senior members, please correct me if I am wrong !
for cic you can try here, it is heavy literature but it is the new regulation for EE and you can find your answerEkniranjan2 said:Thanks for the reply. But I am wondering if anyone might have checked explicitly with CIC on this...
