Hello Members,
I am creating an EE profile. I have a valid job offer and a CRS score of 495. I am the primary applicant, my husband and our daughter will be immigrating with me.
My husband has an almost 18 years old daughter from a previous marriage. He has not seen her in over 3 years and she lives with her mother.

In the EE profile creation in the 'family' section, when they ask how many people are in the applicant's family. Do I need to put 3 or 4? We have no desire to include his daughter in the application nor sponsor her, and we truly do not want to go through the nightmare of having to be in touch with her mother. The form specifies: "Include yourself, your spouse or partner, and any children that you have, even if your spouse, partner or children will not come to Canada. Do not include your parents or any other relatives." Technically, she is not my dependent as primary applicant, so I am a bit unsure.

Will appreciate your help, guys!
Thanks.

She is a family member, a biological child of secondary applicant. I am afraid you have to make best efforts to contact custodian and ask for a signed consent too. Admissibility might be assessed in Canada visa office but not in LVO
However such complex situation is better to be consulted with a lawyer.
