I am applying for immigrant. My husband has another plans in working abroad for the reason that our funds is not enough. Will my application be approved? I am planning that my daughter will go to Canada as well. Since she is still minor and my husband has already signed the non accompanying docs. Is there any other options? Please help. Thank you.

You can do the first landing with your husband then he can go back to his country and you can stay here with the kids. As a matter of fact there are many people doing this. They have pockets of colonies in Toronto and surrounding cities known as wife colony where wife is here with kids and husband is supporting them from back home. Its understandable cause the amount of money people make outside Canada is more than what they would be making in Canada. But its part of life and one has to survive right?

Your husband must be included in the application since you are married to him - however you can state that he's non-accompanying (i.e. won't be coming with you to Canada). He will still have to pass the medical, background and security check even if he is non-accompanying.

You will also have to show proof of funds to cover yourself, himself and your daughter.

I will be landing soon, and might be undergoing similar circumstances. Could you please inform which are best "wife colonies" (in terms of services, schools, health services, south Asian amenities)?

Depending on your ethnicity, there are areas near Thorncliffe Park drive for Pakistanis, Victoria Park and Danforth for Bangladeshi. There are some links below you can use as reference.

Just so everyone is aware, under such a scenario, the husband's income earned abroad would likely be subject to Canadian income tax.
