I am on a open work permit and my wife is planning to travel to Canada on visitors visa with authorization letter from IRCC.

1. Do I need to book return ticket as well for her?
2. What is the immigration process like?
3. What kind of documents she need to bring along?
4. Is travel insurance mandatory for my wife?

Wouldn't get too ahead of yourself and see if she gets approved for a TRV and special authorization. She should really be applying for an SOWP unless she is truly only coming for a visit and can prove that she will be returning home.

Visitors visa got approved with authorization letter to travel. I was able to get it through family reunion program..

We have already applied for PR together under CEC class, and my pgwp is about to expire in 7 months. Waiting for SOWP would take 6 to 8 months from the backlogs I see at the moment, if my wife comes inland there might be a chance for us get PR itself within 6 months (I think and also told so, but I literally don't have any hope on that).

Intention is that I and my will exit the country, upon being unable to get valid residential status for both of us within the next 7 months or before 6 months from the date my wife lands.

With the TRV and special authorization she can travel as long as she has the appropriate negative covid test. She must book a 3 day hotel quarantine and then quarantine for 11 days in a separate location for 11 days. She can try to extend her visitor status before 6 months.
