I have submitted sponsor application for my wife, on July 3/2018. from then, i haven't received any acknowledgement. Can any body help me to find out the way, to know the status of the application. Is it a good idea, to contact the CIC?. Thanks in advance.

This is normal. It takes 8-10 weeks to receive acknowledgement.

Not necessarily, its about a 6 week process. They received my application may 30th, I got the aor on July 13th. Best is to call the number above, then go through these options, 2, then 1, then 0. Someone shud be able to give u an update. Good Luck

Yes they will receive the application in a few days, depending on how far you live from the processing center. But the acknowledgement letter will arrive around the 6 week mark.
