Spouse allowed to work on OWP if I resign?

Hi All
I am on a closed work permit and my company wants me to leave Canada soon. My wife is working on SOWP - if I resign to stay back in Canada can she continue to work till the validity of her WP? Or, we will be forced to leave Canada because the primary applicant (Me) no longer has a job?

By the way, I have already applied for BOWP which may take another 1.5 to 2 months based on current timelines. So I may be eligible to work for another firm after 2 months as well. Its just these two months in the interim that I am concerned about.
